Create team accounts with email & password. Only managers see this tab. Users sign in at the top of the page. Disable an account to block sign-in without deleting lead history.

Add user

Share email + temporary password with the teammate. They can use “Reset password” after first login.

1. Firebase Console → Build → Authentication → Get started
2. Sign-in method → enable Email/Password
3. Create the first manager here, then sign in with that email
4. Optional: tighten Firestore rules so only signed-in users can read/write

FaxVin does not offer a public API, and their terms prohibit automated access. Use this workflow: look up the plate on FaxVin (opens in a new tab), copy the VIN, then decode it here with the free NHTSA database and apply it to a lead.

About FaxVin, CARFAX & automation

• FaxVin — no public plate→VIN API; terms ban scraping/bots.
• CARFAX — vehicle history only via paid reports or a formal dealer/partner API (QuickVIN, Advantage, etc.). Terms ban scraping and automated extraction.
• NHTSA vPIC — free VIN decode (year/make/model). Already integrated.
• NHTSA recalls API — free recalls by year/make/model (not VIN-level “open/unrepaired”). Integrated below.
• For full automated CARFAX in this app, the store needs a CARFAX for Dealers / partner agreement and API credentials — then we can wire server-side calls.
